Capital B bitcoin holdings up 12 percent but per-share value stalls

French bitcoin treasury company Capital B increased its bitcoin holdings by 12 percent in three weeks, but its diluted satoshis per share were virtually unchanged as its share count expanded by a similar rate. The company raised funds through shares with attached warrants and also uses bitcoin-linked convertible bonds. A 10-for-1 reverse split effective Sept. 8 could further distort per-share metrics. Capital B adopted a bitcoin strategy in November 2024 and reported losses tied largely to bitcoin impairments.

South Korea, France to expand AI, semiconductor and quantum cooperation

South Korea and France are expanding science, technology and digital cooperation focused on AI, semiconductors and quantum technology. South Korea\'s science ministry said the two sides signed an MOU in Paris on Sept. 8 local time during President Lee Jae-myung’s state visit. The agreement details an earlier letter of intent and includes regular meetings, joint research and efforts to identify projects by innovative companies and attract investment for mutual market entry.

South Korea space agency to expand cooperation with France\'s CNES to help domestic space firms enter Europe

South Korea’s space agency plans to expand cooperation with France’s National Centre for Space Studies (CNES) to help domestic space companies enter the European market and global supply chains. The agency said it will visit Paris from Sept. 8 to 10 to sign an implementation arrangement on space industry promotion and attend the International Space Summit as South Korea’s chief representative. The deal follows an agreement signed last October.
