Shinhan Bank holds \'Korea Patriotism Card\' short-form contest to expand communication on benefits for troops
Shinhan Bank selected winning entries from its \'Korea Patriotism Card\' short-form contest and held an awards ceremony with participating service members and university students. The bank said it held the ceremony on June 12 at its headquarters in central Seoul. The contest was organised to mark the card surpassing 300,000 accounts, the first among third-term operators, and reaching 100 billion won in cumulative spending.

Hana Bank launches Na-ra-sa-rang card with Ahn Yu-jin plate design
Hana Bank said on Tuesday it will introduce a new Na-ra-sa-rang card featuring a plate design with a photo of Ahn Yu-jin, a member of K-pop group IVE and a flagship model for Hana Financial Group, from Jan. 16. The card aims to send a message of support to service members. A postcard with Ahn’s handwritten message will be included with deliveries. The card offers discounts without a prior-month spending requirement.

Banks battle over benefits for military Nara Love Card
As Phase 3 of South Korea’s Nara Love Card rolls out, Shinhan Bank, Hana Bank and IBK Industrial Bank of Korea are intensifying competition to attract service members. Benefits shift away from cinema discounts toward frequently used categories such as OTT services, delivery apps, convenience stores and public transport. The banks are differentiating on PX discounts, cashback terms, interest on salary-linked products and rates on military savings, as well as accident and handset insurance coverage.
