Semifive signs 70.3 billion won contract to develop AI inference accelerator with U.S. fabless firm
Semifive said on Monday it signed a contract with a U.S. AI fabless company to develop a next-generation AI inference accelerator. The deal is worth about 70.3 billion won ($52 million) and marks its first spec handoff project secured in the North American market. The company said it was its largest single contract and outlined plans for tape-out in the first half of 2027 and mass production from 2028.

ADTechnology to target edge and sovereign CPU design market
ADTechnology said it will shift from a traditional design house model based on customer drawings to proactively proposing AI server chip architectures. CEO Joon-kyu Park said the company will move from a passive approach to an active model of proposing needed architectures and co-developing them with clients. It aims to reach 1.5 trillion won in revenue by 2030 and plans to target demand for ARM-based CPUs for edge servers and sovereign environments.

Jensen Huang visits Samsung booth, picks HBM4 and Groq LPU supply chain
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang visited Samsung Electronics\' booth at GTC 2026 in San Jose and reviewed products spanning next-generation high-bandwidth memory, server memory modules and storage, Samsung said on March 17. Huang signed Samsung\'s HBM4 core die wafer and a 4-nanometre wafer for Groq LPU foundry production. Samsung also unveiled HBM4E and hybrid copper bonding, while highlighting memory and storage solutions for Nvidia\'s Vera Rubin platform.
