Zero trust still valid in AI era, but must be implemented properly

John Kindervag, who created the concept of zero trust, has published a new book arguing the model remains effective in the AI era. Kindervag first introduced zero trust in a 2010 Forrester Research report, and it later became a core cyber security principle. He said experts concluded AI threats are faster, more sophisticated and larger in scale, but fundamentally unchanged. The key, he said, is correct implementation through a policy engine that reflects an organisation’s security posture.

Webzen to recruit recruitment-linked interns for 13 roles in second half

Webzen is recruiting applicants for recruitment-linked internships in its technology, game business and marketing divisions. The company said on Thursday it will accept applications through Oct. 19 via its official recruitment site. The programme covers 13 job roles and is open regardless of age or academic background, though some roles require foreign-language skills. Successful candidates will be notified individually in December and join a six-month internship starting in January 2027.

U.S. crypto industry shifts strategy after Clarity Act fails, targets Senate elections

The U.S. cryptocurrency industry is shifting its focus from persuading lawmakers to intervening in elections after Senate legislation stalled. Coinbase-founded advocacy group Stand With Crypto released its first list of endorsed Senate candidates, backing Republicans in Ohio and Iowa and Democrats in New Hampshire. It said endorsements are based on candidates’ crypto policies, not party. Fairshake PAC launched a $30 million campaign targeting Sherrod Brown as overall crypto political spending nears $200 million.
