Automation AI spreads as OpenAI and Anthropic next-generation models take shape

Chinese AI overtakes U.S. in token consumption, expands global share on price competitiveness
The centre of AI competition is shifting from model performance to token pricing, and China is starting to pull ahead, a survey shows. OpenRouter data cited by the Financial Times show that from February, token consumption by Chinese AI models such as DeepSeek and MiniMax surpassed that of U.S. rivals. Chinese firms charge far less per 1 million output tokens than competitors such as Anthropic\'s Claude Sonnet 4.5.

Upstage unveils in-house LLM Solar Pro 3 with 102 billion parameters
AI startup Upstage on Monday unveiled its in-house large language model, Solar Pro 3. The model has 102 billion parameters, more than triple the size of its predecessor, Solar Pro 2. The company said performance improved by more than twofold on key benchmarks including agent capability, coding and instruction following, while costs and throughput speed remained the same as the previous version. It also said reasoning improved using its SnapPO reinforcement learning technique.
