KakaoTalk revamps features from child protection to chat organization

Kakao has updated KakaoTalk to expand child protection features and improve tools for organizing conversations and content. Family Account representatives can now manage short-form content and open chat use for children under 19 after an invite is accepted, without customer centre applications or document submissions. The update also refines chatroom folder management, adds a mark-as-read button to the AI summary service Kanana, and changes how users view friends\' updates. Mini emoticons can be downloaded for free.

KakaoTalk adds \'Hide posts\' feature to let users see only what they want

Kakao introduced a new KakaoTalk feature that lets users hide individual friends’ feed posts. Kakao said the \'Hide posts\' function was added in the recent 26.2.0 update and can be applied immediately from a post’s more menu, while keeping the friendship intact. Users can undo it in settings. The update also adds FaceTalk call recording and summaries, expands open chat notification controls, and refreshes emoji discovery and TokCloud navigation.

Large-firm job postings up 6 percent in Jan-Feb, JobKorea survey finds

JobKorea said job postings by registered large companies, including affiliates, rose 6 percent in January and February from a year earlier. Postings by mid-sized companies also increased slightly, it said, as previously conservative hiring practices eased. JobKorea said demand for AI talent has risen, with postings containing the keyword “AI” up 67 percent. It is expanding AI-based job-matching and curation services for new graduates.
