JobKorea, operated by Worksphere, said on Thursday that its analysis of job postings by registered large companies, including affiliates, showed the number of postings in January and February rose 6 percent from the same period a year earlier.
Postings by mid-sized companies also increased slightly over the period. It showed hiring practices that had been run conservatively amid worsening domestic and external economic conditions have eased, with public recruitment scales shifting to an upward trend.
JobKorea’s recruitment information shows public hiring is open at South Korean companies including LIG, Hyundai Engineering & Construction, Nongshim and GS Retail. Rolling and experienced hiring by major groups including Hyundai, Hanwha, Lotte and Kakao is also under way. With a recent boom in the semiconductor industry, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix have also signalled public hiring for new graduates, and more companies are expected to recruit talent in the first half.
Companies currently hiring have shown a sharp rise in interest in AI talent. Among postings registered on JobKorea, the number that includes the keyword “AI” rose 67 percent from January and February last year. A key feature is that AI hiring cases have increased regardless of job category, including planning, marketing, sales and design as well as development roles.
JobKorea has continued to strengthen AI-focused recruitment services for new graduate job seekers, drawing a strong response. Its “Today’s AI Insights” feature, newly added after a recent main-page overhaul, provides AI-based information on hiring strategies, keywords and recommended postings. It lifted job-posting click-through rates and application ratios by more than 300 percent. Through its in-house AI solution, the “Recommendation 3.0” feature provides hyper-personalised job-posting information regardless of whether a user has a resume on file or is a member.
Its curated recruitment section “Ah! Tteu-gong”, centred on companies popular with MZ-generation job seekers, is also popular. It lets users check the number of postings and detailed information by major group at a glance without complex searches, and also separately offers postings that have drawn the most interest. In addition, the “New Graduate and Intern Specialist Recruitment Section” updates in real time about 18,000 listings across about 20 job types currently recruiting. It also provides employment insights including hiring trends, interviews with incumbent employees and research content.
JobKorea plans to deliver the latest public recruitment information in real time through its recruitment sections, newsletter and open chat rooms. It also plans to push ahead with holding various events to support new graduate job seekers. It plans to launch an AI agent in the first half to support job seekers throughout the process, from preparation stages to strategy setting, and to innovate the hiring experience.
A JobKorea official said the recent recovery in the hiring market centred on large firms is meaningful not only because postings have increased, but also because it reflects companies’ strategic decisions to invest in talent. The official said JobKorea will strengthen services that connect companies and talent faster and more precisely through AI technology, and will newly present a hyper-personalised recruitment experience for job seekers.
