CJ Olive Young expands Skin Scan service to mobile, offers self skin diagnosis
CJ Olive Young said on Tuesday it will roll out a mobile skin diagnosis service that measures skin condition by smartphone and recommends tailored care. The app-based version implements its in-store Skin Scan service and provides AI analysis of skin type and indicators such as pores, pigmentation, moisture, oiliness and wrinkles. The company plans to add skin change reports, routine-based recommendations and personal color diagnosis later this year.

Flitto supplies AI translation solution to key Olive Young stores
Flitto said on Aug. 5 it has supplied its AI-based interpretation and translation solution, Chat Translation, to key CJ Olive Young offline stores. The tool has been introduced at major locations in Seoul, Busan and Jeju with large numbers of foreign tourists. It is offered as a beauty consulting-focused version and a staff PDA app version. The solution supports up to 42 languages, Flitto said.

CJ Olive Young\'s number of company-owned stores fell in the fourth quarter of 2025 for the first time since the first quarter of 2021, while its online sales share exceeded 30 percent for the first time. Total stores, including franchises, also declined. The retailer has grown through offline expansion, but online importance has risen and the company is moving to improve store efficiency. It is also accelerating overseas expansion, focused on the United States.
