JPMorgan says tokenised MMFs unlikely to top 10 to 15 percent of stablecoin market without regulatory change

Tokenised money market funds (MMFs) will continue to grow, but without regulatory change they will struggle to account for more than 10 to 15 percent of the stablecoin market, JPMorgan analysts said. The team led by Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou (니콜라오스 파니기르초글루) said tokenised MMFs offer yield but currently amount to about 5 percent of stablecoin market capitalisation. They cited structural regulatory disadvantages because tokenised MMFs are typically classified as securities.
