Snowflake to support Oracle Cloud, linking Oracle app and database data
Snowflake has partnered with Oracle to offer Snowflake AI Data Cloud on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, it said on its official blog. Snowflake said the OCI-based Snowflake will be introduced as a native service provided directly by Oracle on OCI. The company previously offered its AI and data cloud only via Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. Snowflake said customers can buy and pay for Snowflake solutions through Oracle and use connected data for analysis and AI applications.

Oracle, OpenAI expand enterprise AI alliance from security to app development
Oracle will work with OpenAI to roll out AI-based enterprise products, the company announced at Oracle AI World in Las Vegas. Oracle said the two companies combined OpenAI models, ChatGPT and Codex with Oracle applications, data and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure to launch products across operations, application development, security and startups. Offerings include Oracle AI Workspace, Oracle AI Security Mesh and Oracle App Composer, plus an Oracle AI SMB bundle that includes $12,000 a year in Oracle cloud credits.

Anthropic hires Workday CTO amid possible expansion into HR software
Workday\'s chief technology officer has moved to Anthropic, The Information reported on Tuesday. LinkedIn shows Peter Bailis left Workday last month and joined Anthropic. Workday confirmed his departure and said senior vice president Gabe Monroy is now acting as CTO. The Information said Anthropic has shown interest in developing its own HR products and recently posted a job for an engineering manager overseeing people products.
