Naver Labs Europe unveils \'DIVINE\' general-purpose encoder for autonomous robots, integrating visual AI models

Naver said it has introduced next-generation robot brain technology that integrates visual AI processing models for autonomous robots, enabling faster recognition of surrounding environments without heavy high-performance equipment. Naver Labs Europe unveiled DIVINE, a general-purpose encoder that converts data collected by cameras and LiDAR into a form AI models can process. It uses a multi-teacher distillation method to unify tasks such as 2D understanding, 3D reconstruction and human recognition, improving speed while reducing memory use.

Naver discusses commercialisation of mobile robots with transport ministry, demonstrates technology at 1784

Naver is discussing technology and policy support with South Korea\'s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport to commercialise mobile robots and revitalise the related industry. The company said Transport Minister Kim Yun-deok visited Naver’s 1784 headquarters on May 27, where he watched demonstrations of digital twin technology, the ARC multi-robot intelligence system, and indoor and outdoor autonomous robots. The two sides also discussed policy support and regulatory innovation.

Naver Map expands \'Flying View 3D\' across Seoul

Naver is expanding the coverage of its 3D virtual exploration feature, Flying View 3D, to all of Seoul within its map application. The service recreates real-world spaces such as landmarks, natural scenery and historic sites in three dimensions. Users can access the feature by selecting image markers for major locations including Yeouido 63 Square, Jamsil Sports Complex and the National Assembly building. The Seoul-wide version is built using S-Map data and high-resolution drone imagery.
