Telecom, finance, transport, defense and space to shift to PQC as quantum security response accelerates
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Tuesday it has begun expanding pilot transitions to post-quantum cryptography (PQC) and launching commercial R&D for key national infrastructure including telecommunications, finance, transport, defense and space. The programme will apply PQC in real systems to identify technical issues and establish migration procedures, while developing technologies to automatically identify vulnerable cryptographic assets and support conversion, operation and stability verification.

Mcloudoc builds N2SF-based central document system for NST
Mcloudoc, a central document solution company, has completed building an N2SF-based central document system for the National Science and Technology Council (NST). The project applies the N2SF framework, which differentiates security levels by data importance, in line with the National Intelligence Service’s national cyber security guidelines set to take full effect in May. The system uses the KISA-verified N2SF Model 8 and integrates GooroomOS to implement a no-local-data environment.

NIS releases intelligent power grid cybersecurity guidelines
South Korea\'s National Intelligence Service and the National Security Research Institute on Tuesday released an intelligent power grid cybersecurity guideline prepared in cooperation with related agencies including the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, Korea Electric Power Corp and the Korea Power Exchange. The 171-page guideline presents a linkage model among components of an intelligent power grid and includes security threats and countermeasures for 11 detailed linkage types.
