KT joins Quantum Korea 2026 to unveil post-quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution technologies
KT will take part in Quantum Korea 2026, held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul from July 2 for three days, to showcase quantum cryptography communications technologies and industrial applications. The company will present post-quantum cryptography and quantum key distribution, along with equipment produced through technology transfer to a domestic manufacturer. KT will also show wired and wireless QKD advances, ongoing wireless quantum transmission work, and pilot cases across public, finance and defence sectors.

Korea\'s science ministry launches AI and S&T innovation technology development to boost research productivity
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT is launching a new research and development program to innovate science and technology research methods using artificial intelligence. The ministry held a project kick-off briefing on June 4 for the AI+Science and Technology innovation technology development program. It selected six projects across six key fields and will invest 22.5 billion won from 2026 to 2029. The program will support computing infrastructure and open research data and AI models through a public platform.

Shinhan Bank donates 300 million won to National Cancer Center development fund
Shinhan Bank said on Tuesday it held a donation ceremony at the National Cancer Center in Goyang, Gyeonggi province, attended by Lee Bong-jae and Yang Han-kwang. The bank will provide a total of 300 million won to the National Cancer Center Development Fund over 3 years from 2026 to 2028. It will support medical expenses for 24 cancer patients with income at or below 100 percent of the median and run reintegration programmes for about 660 people.
