South Korea selects 52 national AI projects, government to provide 3,000 GPUs
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT approved a plan to select national artificial intelligence projects and provide government graphics processing unit resources. The programme links projects across ministries to drive nationwide AI innovation. Of 10,000 advanced GPUs secured in a 2025 supplementary budget, about 3,000 will be allocated to the selected projects. A total of 52 tasks from 25 agencies were chosen from 121 submissions by 28 agencies.

National AI Strategy Committee discusses open AI ecosystem cooperation with AMD CEO Lisa Su
South Korea\'s National AI Strategy Committee said Vice Chair Lim Moon-young (임문영) and presidential AI and Future Planning Secretary Ha Jung-woo (하정우) met AMD CEO Lisa Su to discuss AI cooperation between Korea and AMD. They introduced the country\'s strategy to become one of the top three AI powers, including building a nationwide AI expressway, and heard Su\'s assessment of her visit. The sides agreed to expand public-private cooperation on AMD\'s open AI ecosystem and explore broader collaboration tied to the K-Moonshot project.

SKT to verify reliability of \'national AI\' model at MWC
SK Telecom said on Feb. 25 it will join the Global AI Red Team Challenge held during MWC26 to verify the safety and reliability of its in-house artificial intelligence model, A.X K1. About 100 evaluators will test large language models from telecom and AI companies for potential misuse, including discriminatory responses and information breaches. The event is co-hosted by GSMA and Selectstar on March 3 in Barcelona.
