Google launches \'Nano Banana2 Lite\' at half the price, 2.7 times faster
Google has launched an image-generation model called Nano Banana2 Lite, targeting demand for lower cost and faster processing. The model can generate a 1K-resolution image for about $0.034 and is known to cost about half as much as Nano Banana2 at the same resolution while running 2.7 times faster. Officially named Gemini 3.1 Flash Lite Image, it is positioned as an entry-level replacement for the existing Nano Banana.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT Image 2.0 produced more natural-looking results than Google’s Nano Banana2 in a photo editing comparison, an assessment found. TechRadar compared the tools using prompts with practical use cases such as portraits, product photos and changing seasons, focusing on how realistically they altered real photos rather than creating abstract scenes. Nano Banana2 showed strength in speed, but ChatGPT Image 2.0 rated higher for realism, including in a blind test of non-experts.

Paion overhauls features of Creagen image and video AI solution
Paion Corp, an AI-based marketing automation company, said on Tuesday it has carried out a major feature overhaul of its Creagen image and video generation AI solution. The platform uses a conversational interface that turns everyday language into marketing plans and outputs without complex prompts. The revamp adds an editor for instant revisions and an “AI app” feature to automate tasks such as model cuts and background staging.
