Samson Mow warns rushing Bitcoin quantum resistance could backfire
Bitcoin advocate and investor Samson Mow warned that rushing to make Bitcoin quantum-resistant could backfire. He said post-quantum signatures could be 10 to 125 times larger than current ECDSA and Schnorr signatures, potentially increasing transaction size and hurting network throughput. Mow also cautioned that moving too fast could introduce new security and operational risks, and raised concerns about reliability, including possible RNG backdoors. He urged fixing address-reuse practices first.

Race for 5G standalone mode drives AI network competition among telecom equipment makers
Global telecom equipment makers are intensifying competition in AI network technology as 5G standalone (SA) deployment gains momentum. The shift is seen as key infrastructure for handling growing AI-driven uplink traffic with lower latency and advanced features such as network slicing. South Korea’s Ministry of Science and ICT has mandated SA conversion as part of spectrum reallocation conditions, opening a new market for vendors. Ericsson, Nokia and Huawei are advancing AI-RAN, cloud RAN and autonomous network solutions.
