Samson Mow warns rushing Bitcoin quantum resistance could backfire
Bitcoin advocate and investor Samson Mow warned that rushing to make Bitcoin quantum-resistant could backfire. He said post-quantum signatures could be 10 to 125 times larger than current ECDSA and Schnorr signatures, potentially increasing transaction size and hurting network throughput. Mow also cautioned that moving too fast could introduce new security and operational risks, and raised concerns about reliability, including possible RNG backdoors.
