Nuriho to extend private-led space role from production to launch operations
South Korea’s Nuriho rocket is set for its fifth launch on Oct. 7 from the Naro Space Center, carrying 15 satellites including five NEONSAT Earth-observation satellites. The mission requires sequential separation of multiple payloads and stable attitude control. Hanwha Aerospace is expanding its role from stage assembly to greater participation in launch operations, with plans to take full responsibility from the seventh launch. A 24 billion won technology-transfer deal supports the shift from government-led development to private operations.
