Phishing link from Claude puts Web3 developer on alert

A Web3 project co-founder nearly lost control of digital assets after following a download link suggested by AI chatbot Claude, which led to malware installation, the report said. The incident exposed an attack path in which a backdoor hidden in an AI skill configuration document can reinfect a computer even after an operating system reinstall. A tampered SKILL.md file was designed to reconnect to an attacker server and reinstall an infostealer, the report said.

OKB only token to beat bitcoin returns since 2021 peak, analysis shows

Bitcoin has outperformed most altcoins on a long-term investment basis, with OKB, the OKX exchange token, the only one to maintain higher returns than bitcoin since the 2021 bull-market peak, an analysis showed. In the past 24 months, only 22 tokens beat bitcoin’s returns. About 32 percent of those were exchange tokens. Many former outperformers have plunged from record highs, and most altcoins remain weak overall.

Shiba Inu holder addresses top 1.6 million despite market cap slide

The number of Shiba Inu holder addresses has topped 1.6 million for the first time. The token has fallen outside the top 30 by market capitalisation after a recent price pullback, but on-chain indicators and exchange flows continue to point to accumulation. Investors withdrew about 445.1 billion SHIB from exchanges over 24 hours, exceeding inflows and resulting in net outflows of 51.38 billion SHIB.
