Coupang rejects CCEJ \'revolving-door cartel\' claim, calls announcement discriminatory
Coupang rejected allegations by the Citizens\' Coalition for Economic Justice that it formed a revolving-door cartel by hiring many former officials and said the proportion of such hires was low relative to its overall hiring. The group said it filed for a public-interest audit and criticised employment-screening systems for retirees, citing high approval rates in reviews of former lawmakers’ staff and government officials. Coupang questioned the probe’s fairness and reliability.

Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission nears six-member structure, one short of full roster
South Korea’s Broadcast Media Telecommunications Commission is preparing to begin operating under a six-member structure. Political circles said National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik approved a recommendation for Choi Soo-young as a standing commissioner and transferred it to the Ministry of Personnel Management. Four nominees recommended by parties have been sent to the personnel agency and will form a six-member lineup once presidential appointment procedures are completed. One People Power Party nominee remains for the full seven-member roster.

National Assembly speaker approves Choi Soo-young nomination to broadcast media communications commission
National Assembly Speaker Woo Won-shik approved People Power Party-nominated commentator Choi Soo-young as a non-standing member of the Broadcast Media Communications Commission. The nomination was signed off and transferred to the Ministry of Personnel Management, political circles said. Choi’s final appointment will be decided after personnel vetting and a presidential appointment process. The seven-member commission still lacks 1 standing member allocated to the People Power Party.
