AhnLab steps up push into Indonesia cybersecurity market

AhnLab, an AI-native security platform company, said it participated in Indosec 2026 in Jakarta from Sept. 15 to 16, showcasing solutions centered on its integrated brand AhnLab AI Plus to intelligentize security operations. The company said about 400 local industry representatives visited its booth during the event to experience AhnLab AI Plus and discuss cooperation. AhnLab plans further participation in regional events, including Govware 2026 in Singapore in October.

Bitcoin, crypto stocks rebound after Clarity bill setback

Bitcoin regained the $80,000 level on Sept. 19, rising about 5 percent in 24 hours and briefly reaching $81,034 on Bitstamp, data showed. The move reversed a slump after the U.S. Senate failed to pass the Clarity bill on Sept. 15. Investor sentiment improved after the CFTC and SEC took crypto-related steps using existing authority. Crypto-linked stocks jumped on Sept. 18, while short liquidations rose as U.S. Treasury yields climbed.

KOSPI jumps 2.66% on semiconductor strength; Kosdaq also ends higher

South Korea\'s KOSPI rose more than 2 percent on Sept. 18 as heavyweight semiconductor shares gained and foreign investors and institutions bought stocks. The index briefly regained the 6,900 level during the session before ending at 6,894.23, up 2.66 percent. Foreigners and institutions were net buyers, while individuals sold. The Kosdaq also finished higher. The won-dollar exchange rate weakened slightly to 1,382.90 won.
