South Korea to speed up opening of public data for AI training

South Korea will bring forward by 1 year the opening of its \'AI and high-value public data Top 100\' datasets, aiming to complete the project by 2027. The government will also open 37 types of public data and works previously provided to select teams developing proprietary AI foundation models so that all AI companies can use them. It said it has opened 267 high-quality public datasets since 2015, creating 3,625 private-sector services.
