Nexon starts beta service for PC version of \'Maple Growing\'

Nexon began beta service for the PC version of its mobile idle RPG \'Maple Growing\', co-developed with Able Games, the company said on Wednesday. The PC version can be downloaded from the game\'s official website. Users can link their accounts to use existing characters on PC. The cross-platform PC version will be rolled out first in South Korea and later offered globally. Nexon will run an event through April 22, offering rewards based on cumulative daily login time.

Nexon CEO Lee Jung-heon cuts incentive by 50 percent over Maple Growing controversy

Lee Jung-heon (이정헌), chief executive of Nexon’s Japan unit, will cut by 50 percent the incentive allocated to him for 2025, taking responsibility for a controversy over probabilities in “Maple Growing” and the resulting large-scale refunds. Nexon said it would overhaul work systems and corporate culture to prevent a recurrence and restore user trust. It also said the manager in charge resigned and others were disciplined.

Korean Gamers Association withdraws complaints after Nexon offers full refund for \'Maple Growing\'

A Korean gamers group withdrew related complaints after Nexon Korea offered full refunds over a probability controversy involving \'Maple Growing\'. The Korean Gamers Association said it rescinded a complaint filed with the Fair Trade Commission and a damage-relief application to the Game Rating and Administration Committee. The move followed discussions with YouTube channel \'Kim Seonghoe\'s G-Archive\'. Users can choose between a full refund for payments made since the Nov. 6 launch and ending play, or taking previously announced in-game compensation and continuing.
