Nexon and Able Games' jointly developed mobile idle RPG "Maple Growing" has surpassed 3 million cumulative users worldwide two months after its release.

Nexon said on Tuesday that "Maple Growing" reached No. 1 in revenue in South Korea’s two major app markets shortly after its official launch in November last year and has maintained that ranking so far. It recorded a peak 570,000 daily active users and a peak 140,000 concurrent users in its first month, and posted higher figures in December, showing rapid growth.

The global market response has also been strong. It has remained among top-grossing titles in app markets in major Asian countries including Taiwan and Singapore, and delivered meaningful results in North America. It has also secured a place in the global top 10 revenue rankings on Google Play Games.

The success was driven by combining familiar characters and the world of the "MapleStory" intellectual property with the easy gameplay typical of the idle RPG genre. Its gameplay, which can be enjoyed without 부담 in busy daily life, is assessed to have attracted both existing fans and new users.

Nexon will continue the momentum with an update on Wednesday. It plans to add new guild event content, "Guild Training Ground", and expand the difficulty of dungeons and party quests to provide new fun for users.

A Nexon official said, "We are meeting the needs of a new user base by reinterpreting the MapleStory IP." The official added, "We will further strengthen the IP’s power in the global market through stable service and continuous updates."
