LG Uplus, Hyundai Elevator to upgrade AI elevator monitoring
LG Uplus will work with Hyundai Elevator to enhance an AI-based remote monitoring system for elevators. The companies signed an agreement on Sept. 15 in Seoul to cooperate on wireless services and AI and security for a smart remote monitoring platform. They plan to apply LG Uplus machine-to-machine services to communications between elevators and Hyundai Elevator’s MIRI platform and to test an emergency call model using AI voice recognition.

Korean mobile carriers step up Galaxy S26 preorders with promotions
South Korea’s three mobile carriers began preorders for Samsung Electronics’ Galaxy S26 on Wednesday, stepping up competition to attract subscribers. Promotions run through March 5 and include free storage upgrades, handset trade-in and replacement programs, and bundled AI subscription services. SK Telecom offers event tickets, vouchers and online discounts, KT promotes a 1TB model on its website and runs in-store experience zones, while LG Uplus bundles Google AI services and adds online-only services.
