Charles Schwab has begun direct trading of bitcoin and ether across about 40 million brokerage accounts, opening the service in 48 U.S. states excluding New York and Louisiana. The product, called Schwab Crypto, carries a 0.75 percent trading fee and is operated by Charles Schwab Premier Bank and Paxos. Schwab has kept risk warnings, saying even a 1 to 3 percent allocation can overly affect a portfolio.

Whether drivers can wear earphones, headphones or earbuds varies by U.S. state. No state fully bans such devices while driving, but many restrict use that covers or blocks both ears. Some states allow one-ear use or provide exceptions, while others have no specific limits but may cite drivers under careless-driving laws. Even where legal, earphones can reduce awareness of sirens and horns and may affect liability after crashes.
