Hancom to take part in 2026 Japan IT Week
Hancom said it will take part in 2026 Japan IT Week Spring in Tokyo from April 8 to 10. The company plans to present solutions centred on a digital trust chain spanning AI, biometric identification and electronic document technologies as it seeks to expand its business in Japan. It will highlight its HancomAUTH remote identity verification solution and a simple authentication platform, and will also introduce HancomDataLoader, a document-based AI technology product.

Hancom supplies AI facial recognition solution to Japan\'s Cyberlinks
Hancom said on Feb. 19 it signed a contract to supply its AI facial recognition solution, Hancom Auth, to Cyberlinks, a Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard-listed company. Cyberlinks will name Hancom a strategic partner and advance its remote identity verification services, targeting existing and new clients. Hancom Auth is based on technology from Spain\'s FacePhi and includes liveness features to detect fake faces in real time, Hancom said.

Foblgate launches AI-based next-generation identity verification system
Foblgate said on Tuesday it has commercialised a next-generation identity verification system that combines AI-based facial recognition with an ID forgery detection solution, the first such rollout by a domestic digital asset exchange. The system compares facial features with an ID photo in real time and uses liveness detection to identify abnormal attempts such as spoofed videos, photos or masks. It also checks ID authenticity and detects various forgery traces.
