Hancom to take part in 2026 Japan IT Week

Hancom said it will take part in 2026 Japan IT Week Spring, to be held in Tokyo from April 8 to 10.

At the exhibition, Hancom will showcase a range of solutions centred on a digital trust chain spanning AI, biometric identification and electronic document-based technologies, as it moves to expand its business in Japan.

Hancom will stress its competitiveness in authentication technology through its remote identity verification solution HancomAUTH and a simple authentication platform. HancomAUTH applies a passive liveness method that verifies identity using only a front-facing image, without any additional user action, to determine whether the user is real and provide a secure authentication environment. In particular, it holds i-Beta level 2 certification, which it said is unique in Japan among passive liveness-based facial recognition solutions.

The simple authentication platform streamlines user authentication by combining its own certificate with facial recognition. It supports API-based integration with external services, providing scalability across various digital service environments.

Hancom will also introduce HancomDataLoader, which applies document-based AI technology. HancomDataLoader converts electronic documents in various formats into structured data and analyses elements such as text, tables and images in documents to improve the accuracy of AI training and search.

Hancom CEO Youn-soo Kim (김연수) said, "Hancom is pushing to expand in global markets through digital trust solutions that combine AI, authentication and electronic document technologies." He added, "In the Japanese market as well, we will expand technology application cases based on cooperation with local partners and deliver continued results."
