Nasdaq CEO cites tokenisation potential as 24-hour trading looms

Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman (아데나 프리드먼) said tokenisation could unlock tens of billions of dollars of tied-up capital by making collateral more liquid. Speaking at the TOKEN2049 conference in Singapore, she said tokenising assets such as Treasuries, stocks and money market funds could help banks move collateral more efficiently. She said institutional demand has risen over the past year, and 24-hour trading would require major infrastructure changes and greater AI use in real-time risk management.

Elice Group registers trademark for modular AI data center PMDC

Elice Group said on Wednesday it has completed trademark registration for its self-developed modular AI data center, PMDC. The company said it finished the registration on Sept. 17. PMDC is a modular AI data center designed in 2021, with key facilities such as servers and power, cooling and networking pre-fabricated at a factory and installed on site. It applies direct liquid cooling and hot-water cooling technologies.
