El Salvador\'s Bukele tops global leader approval rankings at 94 percent
El Salvador President Nayib Bukele posted a 94 percent approval rating, ranking first in a survey of leaders from 26 countries, a blockchain media outlet reported. Coinbase halts peso-based services in Argentina, exits after one year
Coinbase will halt peso-based services in Argentina, The Block reported on Jan. 4. The company told customers it will end peso-USDC trading on Jan. 31, after which they will no longer be able to buy or sell USDC in Argentine pesos or withdraw funds to local bank accounts. The decision follows rising uncertainty in the crypto market after a LIBRA memecoin scandal involving Argentine President Javier Milei, though Coinbase denied political links.
