Yonsei University to hold talk with Lee Sedol on playing with AI on Sept. 14

Yonsei University’s AI Innovation Institute will hold a special dialogue on Sept. 14 with Lee Sedol (이세돌), a special-appointed professor at UNIST, at the Yonsei-Samsung Library’s Y-Valley. The session will focus on what distinctive human capabilities are in the AI era and what relationship humans and AI will build. Yonsei professors from politics, psychology, advanced computing and Korean studies will join as panelists.

NHN\'s Handol supports AI training at South Korea-China youth baduk exchange

NHN said on July 23 it provided its artificial intelligence baduk program Handol for joint training in the baduk event at the 19th South Korea-China Youth Sports Exchange held in Iksan, North Jeolla Province, on July 21. The exchange, hosted by the Korean Sport & Olympic Committee, runs for seven days through July 25 and includes joint training, official matches and cultural activities. Participants gave positive reviews of the AI-based training.

KB Kookmin Bank expands social contribution from support for families with disabled members to youth mentoring

KB Kookmin Bank is expanding its social contribution activities, running volunteer programmes to support families with disabled members and providing tailored financial mentoring for young people. The bank said it visited the Mapo Disabled Family Support Center in Seoul with a customer service outsourcing partner and carried out volunteer work, including a 10 million won donation. It also took part in a youth employment and mentoring event to offer one-on-one financial advice.
