OpenAI has overhauled its core operating principles for the first time since 2018, shifting its focus away from placing artificial general intelligence (AGI) at the center. New book \'Story Engineering\' lays out AI content strategy for creators across genres

Kim Woo-jung (김우정), a director at AI storytelling lab PROM, will publish \'Story Engineering\' on May 8, presenting a creative methodology for creators in the AI era. The book’s core is the author’s Chain of Story framework, which builds narratives step by step from title to editing. It also covers heuristic prompting, combining creators’ intuition with AI logic through strategically designed dialogue. Kim stresses maintaining leadership when collaborating with AI and introduces a personalised “story assistant” concept.
