Woori Financial launches Team Korea cheering campaign ahead of Winter Olympics

Woori Financial Group said on Saturday it has launched a full-scale cheering campaign ahead of the 2026 Milan-Cortina d’Ampezzo Winter Olympics, releasing an advertisement supporting South Korea’s national team. As an official sponsor of Team Korea, it said the ad carries a message backing athletes’ challenges and efforts. The company will give 5,000-won Naver Pay point coupons to 100 people selected by lottery from online comments left by Feb. 6.

Woori Bank extends main partnership with LCK

Woori Bank said it has extended its main partnership contract with Riot Games for League of Legends Champions Korea, the country’s professional League of Legends league. Executives from both sides attended a signing ceremony in Seoul and agreed to continue the partnership that has run since 2019. The bank cited past initiatives including running a high school League of Legends league and sponsoring South Korea’s national esports team at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. It plans further fan events this year.
