Coupang buys 7,000 tonnes of fruit from depopulating areas, record high for January-August
Coupang bought 7,000 tonnes of fruit from regional farms, including depopulating areas, in January to August, its highest amount for that period. The company said purchases across eight areas rose 10 percent from a year earlier. The volume is close to last year’s annual total of about 7,600 tonnes, and Coupang expects full-year purchases to exceed 8,400 tonnes.
