Dunamu expands youth self-reliance support; 4,122 aided over 3 years
Dunamu said on Tuesday it has supported a total of 4,122 young people over the past three years through its Upbit Next Series, a programme aimed at credit recovery and economic self-reliance. The three-stage initiative links credit recovery, asset building and job connections. Its Upbit Next Series: Didim has aided 936 people, providing financial consulting, living expenses support and zero-interest loans. Dunamu said mentoring indicators improved in a third-year analysis.

Hana Financial to build HanaThe Next Lifecare elderly care facility
HanaThe Next Lifecare said it held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 27 at a site in Jichuk-dong, Deogyang-gu, Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, to build an elderly care facility. The event was attended by executives from Hana Financial Group and guests including officials from the Korea Life Insurance Association and Eunpyeong St. Mary’s Hospital. The facility will provide combined housing and care services for older people and aims to open in September 2027.

Financial leaders say domestic and external uncertainty persists, finance role more important than ever
South Korean financial industry leaders met in Seoul on Jan. 5 for a New Year gathering and pledged to press ahead despite ongoing domestic and external uncertainty. Deputy Prime Minister Koo Yun-cheol stressed finance’s role and outlined plans to start supplying an annual 30 trillion won National Growth Fund and expand tax incentives for venture and innovation capital.
