China exoskeleton robot market posts record growth

China\'s wearable exoskeleton robot market is growing rapidly and has reached a record size, with applications expanding from medical rehabilitation to elderly assistance, tourism and industry. IDC estimated 2025 shipments at about 26,000 units and market size at more than 1.6 billion yuan. Medical rehabilitation generated most revenue, while consumer-assist devices drove volume. Industrial use remains early-stage. Investment rose in 2025, and some firms are expanding overseas.

Baemin deploys new Dilly delivery robot model

Woowa Brothers, operator of Baemin, said it will deploy a new model of its Dilly delivery robot from Aug. 3 at Baemin Bmart robot delivery sites. The company replaced the exterior material with recyclable expanded polypropylene, reducing weight by about 8 percent and increasing top speed and range. The new model can travel up to 15 km/h after meeting safety certification requirements. Baemin plans to expand the service to other Bmart stores in the second half.

KB Financial sponsors South Korea\'s first Humanoid Challenge

KB Financial Group has sponsored the 2026 Humanoid Challenge, a competition focused on proving humanoid robot technologies. KB Financial said it provided a total prize fund of 30 million won for the event, which was hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and co-organised by two robotics institutions. Teams demonstrated precision work capabilities and autonomous control. Seoul National University’s ROBI team won the top prize.
