Science ministry holds briefing on 2026 AI integrated voucher programme
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held a briefing in Seoul on March 19 for its AI Integrated Voucher programme aimed at lowering barriers to corporate adoption of artificial intelligence and supporting innovation. The ministry introduced the 2026 programme direction, support details and application procedures, and held a Q&A session. The programme operates across four tracks: AI, data, cloud and AX one-stop vouchers, with funding allocated to selected tasks in each area.

MSIT opens call for 3 corporate data linkage and use pilot projects, offering 2.1 billion won
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT said on Wednesday it is inviting proposals for three pilot projects to link and use corporate data, together with the Korea Data Agency (K-DATA). The programme revamps a mydata pilot launched in 2019 and expands the focus from personal data use to corporate entities. Eligible consortia must include at least two corporate data-holding institutions and at least one user, and must apply AI. Total support is 2.1 billion won.

Science ministry launches call for 2026 data safe zone designations to expand use of closed data
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT, the National Information Society Agency and the Korea Data Agency said on Tuesday they will start accepting applications on March 3 for new 2026 designations of \'data safe zones\' that allow secure analysis and use of closed data. The programme includes general designations and conversion designations. Up to 5 institutions will be selected for conversion designations, with up to 200 million won each to build security environments.
