Kakao launches first integrated membership for 4,900 won a month
Kakao will launch a 4,900-won-a-month integrated membership bundling affiliate services including Gift, Tok Deal, Kakao Pay and Melon. The company said it will begin first-come, first-served sign-ups for a small group of users. Benefits include shopping points worth 0.5 to 5 percent of spending, Kakao Pay points for payments, monthly content choices between Emoticon Plus and Tok Cloud, and perks across KakaoPage, securities, insurance and music streaming.

Kakao runs \'Text Hip\' promo of emoticons based on literary works
Kakao on March 31 introduced a promotional event for emoticons based on literary works, titled \"Text Hip.\" The project reinterprets sentences from writers\' works in the form of Kakao emoticons. Kakao collaborated with five Korean authors and released five emoticon products, combining text with matching illustrations. To mark the event, Kakao also set up an offline \"Emoticon Reading\" programme in which participating writers read lines from their works.

Kakao teams up with GS Retail to launch Valentine\'s collaboration emoticon goods
Kakao said on Thursday it will launch collaboration goods using its emoticons with GS Retail for the Valentine\'s Day and White Day season. The partnership is part of OMO marketing that combines offline products and digital content. Kakao will release four \"Love Season Confession Package\" sets themed around \"confession\" and featuring emoticon-based expressions. The goods will be sold at GS25 stores, with stock searchable via the WooridongneGS app.
