Korea\'s derivatives market at 30 as trading shifts to overseas and crypto markets

White House completes review of rule that could open crypto investing in U.S. 401(k) pensions
The U.S. Labor Department is preparing a regulatory proposal that could allow cryptocurrency investment in 401(k) retirement plans. Cointelegraph reported that the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs has completed its review of the proposal on alternative-asset investing in 401(k) plans. The move follows an executive order signed by President Donald Trump on Aug. 7, 2025, and comes after the Labor Department withdrew 2022 guidance urging caution.

Indiana governor signs bill allowing crypto investment in retirement plans
Indiana has passed legislation allowing investments in cryptocurrencies through retirement plans and savings accounts, Cointelegraph reported on March 4. Governor Mike Braun (마이크 브라운) signed House Bill 1042, which requires state public retirement and savings accounts to offer at least one crypto investment option by July 2027. The law also bars public agencies, except financial institutions, from adopting rules that ban crypto payments, self-custody or mining.
