Justem said on Tuesday it signed a supply contract with LG Electronics for process equipment for an OLED manufacturing line. The contract runs through July 2027. The order is worth 7.4 billion won and is the largest single project Justem has won from LG Electronics.
The company has supplied vacuum logistics equipment for IT OLED and laser patterning equipment for R&D. It said this is its third major equipment order and stressed it has accumulated experience and know-how by supplying related equipment so far.
Justem plans to use the order as a foothold to make a full-scale entry into the OLED mass-production equipment market. It said the same line could be installed additionally as conditions in the global display market improve, and investment in OLED mass-production lines could continue thereafter.
Kim Myung-soo (김명수), a director in charge of display sales, said, "With this project order, Justem has once again been officially recognized for its technology and reliability in the process equipment field." He said, "It will serve as an opportunity to make a full-scale entry into the mass-production equipment market."
