Korea Post issues World Maritime Day commemorative stamps

The Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Korea Post on Sept. 15 issued 496,000 commemorative stamps for World Maritime Day. The day was designated in 1978 by the International Maritime Organization, a U.N. agency, and is observed on the last Thursday of September each year to highlight maritime safety, marine environmental protection and shipping’s role in supporting international trade. The stamp design features Busan Port, the IMO symbol and the South Korean flag.
