Cardano \'science coin\' identity at risk, Hoskinson warns research institute may close
Cardano (ADA) founder Charles Hoskinson warned the blockchain\'s science-led development identity could be shaken if a key research proposal is rejected. The dispute has intensified under its decentralised governance system amid conflict over research funding. The proposal, submitted by Input Output Global, seeks funding for scalability research, cryptography, post-quantum security and human-centred design. Hoskinson said rejection could lead to the closure of Cardano’s research institute and the departure of core scientists.
