Tmap Mobility says trips to hot springs jump 246 percent in cold snap
Tmap Mobility said its analysis of driving data for the top 1,000 destinations for Jan. 1-25 in 2024 and 2025 showed travel demand concentrating on indoor locations despite a cold snap. Hot spring destinations rose 246.1 percent year on year, led by Yulam Hot Spring Charcoal Kiln Theme Park in Hwaseong. Trips to cultural facilities rose 16 percent, including museums up 130.1 percent and cinemas up 26.4 percent.
