Lotte completes sale of Lotte Rental to TPG including management control
Lotte has completed the sale of management control of Lotte Rental. The company said on Oct. 30 it closed a deal to transfer the full 61.2 percent stake held by Hotel Lotte and Busan Lotte Hotel to TPG. The share purchase agreement was signed on Aug. 11. The sale price was 59,000 won per share, for a total of about 1.31 trillion won.

Lotte to hold first AI competition linked to hiring with tasks from seven units
Lotte will hold its first groupwide AI competition linked to hiring, launching the AX Challenge 2026 with preliminary applications starting on Oct. 28. Seven companies, including Lotte Wellfood, Lotte Chilsung Beverage and Lotte Chemical, will each present a current task. OpenAI will provide technical support and take part in judging. There are no limits on age or education. The finals will be held Nov. 24 to 25 at Lotte’s Osan campus, with seven winners and 20 million won in total prize money.

Lotte moves to secure talent for AI shift, hiring across 15 affiliates in three digits
Lotte said it will standardise hiring dates so applicants can prepare in advance, launching what it called \"predictable rolling recruitment\" from Sept. 1 with hiring windows in March, June, September and December. Fifteen affiliates including Lotte Department Store, Lotte Wellfood, Lotte Construction and Lotte Innovate will participate. The group plans to hire hundreds of new staff across more than 50 roles, including sales, marketing, R&D and AI.
