Satellite Tracker real-time map tracks locations of more than 30,000 satellites in orbit
A web-based map service called Satellite Tracker has launched to show in real time the current locations of more than 30,000 satellites orbiting Earth. It displays Starlink by default and lets users view each satellite’s position, orbit and identification details on one screen. The service also updates in real time and offers detailed information such as NORAD ID and international designators. Users can filter satellites by purpose, project, country and altitude.

SoftBank to enter U.S. AI cloud computing market with SB Neo launch
SoftBank Group and its telecommunications unit SoftBank will start a neo cloud business from the next fiscal year to rent AI computing resources to U.S. companies, Bloomberg News reported. The two companies will establish SB Neo in July to supply AI chips and cloud services to large firms, including hyperscalers. SoftBank plans to raise data centre capacity to 10 gigawatts by around 2030, and SoftBank will hold 51 percent of SB Neo.

Japan to inject about 6 trillion won into Rapidus in bid to revive chip industry
Japan will provide Rapidus with an additional 631.5 billion yen in commissioned research and development funding for fiscal 2026, aimed at advancing the company’s plan to begin mass production in the second half of fiscal 2027. Economy, Trade and Industry Minister Ryosei Akazawa unveiled the plan at Rapidus’ plant in Chitose, Hokkaido. The new funds will be used for prototype performance evaluation and yield improvements. Cumulative government support will rise to 2.35 trillion yen, with separate capital injections also planned.
