Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin (비탈릭 부테린) said he released a revised version of his 2023 Ethereum roadmap and raised the priority of quantum safety. He overlaid the earlier roadmap on the Ethereum Foundation’s latest layer-1 Strawmap to show items that remained and those whose priority changed. The Strawmap lays out upgrades across consensus, data and execution layers and sets five end goals, including a post-quantum L1. Buterin also proposed EIP-8288 in June 2026, and the foundation formed a post-quantum security team targeting 2029.

Ethereum and Solana are considering ways to reduce token issuance, but demand is likely to be the key factor shaping prices, an analysis said. Galaxy Research said discussion is under way on revamping issuance structures on both networks, but where tokens go is determined by demand. Ethereum is weighing an EIP proposal to cut validator rewards as staking rises, while Solana is advancing governance proposals to accelerate disinflation and burn more fees.
