Song Gi-heon vows to help South Korea lead AI medical innovation
Song Gi-heon (송기헌), chair of the National Assembly’s Science, ICT, Broadcasting and Communications Committee, said he would work to help South Korea become a leading country in AI-driven medical innovation. Speaking at a forum in Seoul, he highlighted Wonju’s accumulated data and competitiveness in medical devices and healthcare. Lawmakers Han Jun-ho and Kim Sun-min attended. They discussed the growing importance of science and technology and the need for government involvement in building the ecosystem.

South Korea pilots always-on vulnerability reporting and remediation scheme
South Korea will launch the country’s first pilot programme for a security vulnerability reporting, remediation and disclosure scheme, aimed at building a safe and transparent security ecosystem. The initiative includes a vulnerability disclosure policy and a coordinated vulnerability disclosure policy. Fifteen organisations, including 7 companies and 8 public bodies, will participate. Applications open May 29 to June 12, with hacking and reporting running to November and results disclosed at year-end.

Salesforce builds sales data platform for GC Green Cross Wellbeing
Salesforce said on Monday it supplied its Sales Cloud to South Korean healthcare company GC Green Cross Wellbeing. It said the system helps manage customer and account data, sales performance, manager histories and territory sales information in a standardised framework. Salesforce said performance reporting was fully automated and time for sales handovers and account administration fell 50 percent. It also links external datasets to identify clinic closures and reopenings and update new accounts.
