Mirae Asset Securities high net worth clients triple in one year
Mirae Asset Securities said the number of its high net worth clients has more than tripled in a year. It said clients holding at least 3 billion won rose from the 3,000 range in May last year to above 9,500 in May this year. The firm said the figure rose 26 percent from the previous month and that clients with at least 10 billion won more than doubled from a year earlier.

Eight in 10 retail investors who sold South Korean stocks in the first quarter made a profit despite uncertainty including U.S.-Iran war risk, Shinhan Investment said on May 11. The average profit among winners was 8.48 million won, while losers averaged a 4.96 million won loss. Samsung Electronics was the top stock for both profit-making and loss-making clients. Male and older investors posted higher average profits than female and younger investors.
