Supply chain reshuffle, tech rivalry deepen; call grows for more precise financial policy
Calls are growing to redefine the roles of policy finance and private finance and to change not only the scale of funding but also how it is allocated, as supply chain uncertainty and technology rivalry intensify. Speakers at a Seoul seminar said financial policy should be refined to support strategic industries, small manufacturers and early-stage innovators. They also cited the need to expand direct finance and venture capital, improve exit markets and strengthen expertise at financial institutions.

Hana Financial Research Institute, KIET strengthen cooperation on productive finance
Hana Financial Research Institute said on Saturday it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade to promote productive finance. The two organisations plan to combine industrial policy and financial research capabilities to build a basis for efficiently supplying capital to industries in need. They will pursue joint research and cooperate on education programmes and forums.

Hana Financial Group launches \'Productive Finance Academy\'
Hana Financial Group said on April 14 it will launch a \'Productive Finance Academy\' by expanding and reorganising its existing training programmes to strengthen execution of productive finance. The academy will be led by Hana Bank’s Hana Financial Research Institute and is expected to be introduced in the first half of the year to foster specialist staff. The group plans to link existing programmes and expand them into a structured curriculum, drawing on in-house research capabilities and external cooperation.
