Hana Financial Group said on April 14 it will launch a 'Productive Finance Academy' by expanding and reorganising its existing training programmes to strengthen its ability to execute productive finance.
The academy will be led by Hana Bank’s Hana Financial Research Institute and is expected to be introduced in the first half of the year. It aims to foster specialist staff to support the group’s core strategy of productive finance.
The Hana Financial Research Institute has operated tailored seminars for staff including credit reviewers, relationship managers, investment banking and venture capital personnel. Through the reorganisation, the group plans to link existing programmes more organically and expand them into a structured curriculum.
The academy will incorporate industry analysis and research capabilities accumulated by the group’s research organisations, including the Hana Financial Research Institute, Hana Securities’ research centre and Hana Financial TI’s Hana Financial Convergence Technology Institute. The group aims to deepen understanding of opportunities and risks by industry.
Hana Financial will also work with the Korea Institute for Industrial Economics and Trade to strengthen training expertise. It plans to sign a business agreement at the end of this month and reflect in-depth industry analysis and policy research results in the curriculum to enhance practical capabilities to provide financial support.
