Oura to enter South Korea with fifth-generation smart ring
Finnish smart ring maker Oura has officially entered the South Korean market with the Oura Ring 5, which it says is 40 percent smaller than its previous model. The company says it boosted LED output fourfold and expanded signal paths to maintain measurement quality, and offers more than 50 health metrics through its app. Oura plans to combine hardware sales with a monthly membership fee, with new features provided to subscribers.

Samsung Electronics succeeds in predicting vasovagal syncope with Galaxy Watch
Samsung Electronics said on Wednesday it became the first in the world to prove through a joint clinical study with Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital that a Galaxy Watch can predict vasovagal syncope at an early stage. The results were published in the latest issue of European Heart Journal-Digital Health, a digital health journal published by the European Society of Cardiology. The study analysed real-time heart rate variability data collected by the Galaxy Watch6 and predicted signs of syncope about 5 minutes in advance with 84.6 percent accuracy.

Huawei launches Watch Fit 4 series in South Korea, also unveils FreeBuds SE 4 ANC
Huawei Korea on Jan. 26 officially launches the Watch Fit 4 series and FreeBuds SE 4 ANC in South Korea. The Watch Fit 4 weighs 27 grams and is 9.5 mm thick, with black, purple and white options. The Pro model is 9.3 mm thick and 30.4 grams, and comes in green, blue and black. Both feature a 1.82-inch AMOLED display rated up to 3,000 nits and up to 10 days of battery life. The earbuds offer active noise cancelling up to 50 dB and up to 50 hours of use with the charging case.
